FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
THESE ARE SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED, BY PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU!
BREATHWORK
-
Breathwork is a therapeutic practice that uses a range of conscious breathing techniques to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
-
There are huge number of benefits when it comes to breathwork. The most common ones our clients notice and report back to us with are:

an increase in their self-awareness and understanding their behaviour patterns
the ability to process stored and uncomfortable emotions, with a greater improvement to their overall emotional well-being
a clearer mind and less intrusive thoughts
the ability to process past experiences/trauma
a reduction in physical pain and tension in the body
greater breath awareness throughout the day and better performance during physical exercise and endurance
improved sleep quality
an increase in confidence, self-esteem, and self-image
an increase in overall life satisfaction and happiness
-

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic disease or terminal illness
severe asthma
severe cardiac concerns or hypertension
a history of epilepsy
severe diabetes
If you are pregnant or suspect you might be
severe PTSD
are on any psychiatric medication or have had a recent surgery or physical injury.

As everyone is unique and at different stages of their Breathwork journey, there isnt a one-fits-all answer to this question.
This however is a perfect and important time to listen to your body and mind when this question arises.
First ask yourself "What is my intention for my breathwork practice?". Ask youself the why behind wanting to complete this practice.
Overall Breathwork is completely safe to do every single day (or even twice per day) depending on the style and your overall intention.
Our Restore Breathwork Sessions were created out of the demand from our clients wanting a more regular practice that was less intense and focused on relaxation and stress reduction. These sessions are safe to do every day.
Our Release Breathwork Sessions are focused on a more intense, transformative style of the breathwork and we recommend spacing these out fornightly to monthly to allow you to fully integrate your session.
-
No. Whilst the basic structure of the private session or class will be the same, your experience will be unique each time.
-
Maybe… Maybe Not.
Social media is great at showing only one, very small side of breathwork. Often you will only see crying or screaming because it gets a response and higher views from those watching.
But there are many sides and layers to breathwork. You might have a session where do you cry or scream. You might have a truly relaxing session and feel light and free. You might lay down and feel nothing. It varies session to session. -
We suggest avoiding Caffeine and Alcohol, for at least 24-hours post breathwork, as they increase your dehydration levels and can effect your emotional well-being, un-doing all the good work you have done in the session.
-
We never force anyone to share. We generally start each class with a light-hearted connection activity, which we tend to have a bit of fun and a laugh (no intense eye-gazing we swear!).
The sharing component at the end of our Release Class is optional. Sometimes everyone shares, and sometimes no one shares - and that is 100% a-ok!
-
Our Release Classes go for 2 hours. These classes are focused on a deeper, more intense breathwork experience so we allow for adequate time for integration and post session reflection.
-
We do not offer our Release Breathwork Classes online. Due to the intensity and often unpredictable nature of the style of breathwork used in this class, we believe the safest option for everyone is to offer these in-person only.
If you are looking for an online breathwork class, refer to our Restore Class.
